We had a wonderful week together as a family at Fripp Island. If you've never been there, it is a samll island north of Hilton Head, SC. The island is so fun--everyone rides around in golf carts, there are deer everywhere (in fact the phrase of the week was, "Oh Deer!"), and it is a very family friendly place! We had a great time just getting away and being together! The first few days were cold, so we bundled up in all the layers we could find and went exploring on the golf cart. We got to see a few snakes, lizards, frogs and other fun animals at a little activity center! Hailey has no fear of animals--even snakes, but Dad sure doesn't like them!!!
The end of the week warmed up and we spent a lot of time outside--at playgrounds, exploring a lighthouse on Hunting Island and having lunch on the beach, and playing in the sand. It wasn't quite warm enough for the water--although Bradyn didn't seem to agree! He loved the water, and ended up so wet that we just had him playing in his diaper! Watch out for him at the beach!!
We continue to thank God for the many ways He provides for our needs--even in just rest and refreshment! This week was a good reminder for us of God's love for us and His desire for us to rest and to slow down--of of His constant and faithful provision!! It was also a good time for me to reflect on how blessed I am--God has given me such a wonderful family! A Husband who truly desires to serve and follow the Lord and who serves me, and 3 beautiful, healthy, and fun children who keep us smiling and laughing and humble!!
